The English name - Lombardy poplar
High - to 40 metres a tree with thickness of a trunk of 80-100 centimetres. Grows in southern regions of Europe and Asia; it is successfully grown up in Argentina, in Iran and the North Africa. The grey poplar as believe, grows out of crossing between a white poplar and an aspen.
Wood almost white or zheltovato-grey also is considered the best version of a poplar. On properties and a structure very much bears a strong resemblance to cherry wood.
